The Pharmaceutical Organization is a state-owned enterprise under the Thai Ministry of Public Health, established on 5 August 1966.

According to the Pharmaceutical Organization Act B.E. 2509 (1966), it is a combination of the Osotsala Division and the Pharmaceutical Division to produce drugs and medical supplies in the country.

Solve the problem of importing drugs from abroad and promote the pharmaceutical industry in the country to be more prosperous, in addition to the production and distribution of drugs to the general public.

The Pharmaceutical Organization is also responsible for researching drugs to prevent and treat emerging diseases, including educating people on how to use drugs correctly, appropriate, including other hygiene matters for the public.
