"In just one month at E Hospital, there have been nearly 500 cases of spectral CT scans, including 45% coronary angiography, 13% aortic scans, 13% whole-body cancer scans, and the remainder being brain, lung, and other pathological scans. Thus, there is a very high demand for patients requiring spectral CT scans for accurate results to help doctors diagnose and treat," said Dr. Chau.
According to Dr. Chau, citing some clinical cases where doctors performed spectral CT scans for patients, it has brought practical benefits such as reducing contrast agent doses in patients with cardiovascular disease and kidney failure.
